Jean-Damien Huberty earned his master’s degree in law at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in June 1997.
He then joined the tax inspectorate, direct contributions sector, in order to follow the training programme at the Ecole Nationale de Fiscalité; this in turn led to his dual legal appointment as inspector of recovery (1999) and inspector of taxes (2000).
He joined the Brussels Bar in January 2001 to practice mainly in the field of tax law, but also in commercial and corporate law.
While practising law, he nevertheless followed a two-year complementary training course at the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Fiscales (ICHEC), in order to obtain a diploma in taxation in 2005.
He works in collaboration with several specialized firms, which has allowed him to develop a broad experience of taxation with a preponderance for property tax, local and regional taxes, value added tax.
